Stachybotrys Chartarum IgG Unit Converter

Stachybotrys chartarum IgG measures the level of Immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies in your blood that target Stachybotrys chartarum, a mold commonly known as "black mold." These antibodies indicate that your immune system has recognized and responded to this mold.

Unlike IgE antibodies, which drive immediate allergic reactions, IgG antibodies represent a delayed immune response and serve as a marker of exposure history. A positive result means you have been exposed to Stachybotrys antigens, but it does not by itself confirm active illness.

IgG antibodies can persist for months to years after exposure ends, so the test reflects cumulative immune memory rather than a snapshot of current exposure alone.

IgG antibodies are produced by B-cells and plasma cells in the immune system. When Stachybotrys mold spores or fragments are inhaled, the body's antigen-presenting cells process the mold proteins and activate B-cells, which then produce IgG antibodies specific to Stachybotrys antigens.
